As Aiden Ashley leaves her flat to go to work, her landlord calls and demands payment for the rent. Tomorrow, Aiden assures him, she will have it ready for him. However, her day takes a turn for the worst when Aiden dashes to her car and it refuses to start. Frustrated, she smashes her hands on the steering wheel and calls her boss to let him know she's going to be late once more. She accepts an offer to be driven to work by her teacher Stirling Cooper, who just so happens to be passing by. With relief, Aiden jumps in. Stirling strikes up a conversation as they go.
